Job Description

We are looking for a IT Support Engineer to join our growing support team looking after our clients, both large and small, from all across the our sales region. In addition you will also provide technical support and services to our growing Apple Premium Reseller retail division.

In this role you’ll be responsible for providing support to clients throughout the South West. This is a highly varied position that will see you resolving both hardware and software issues with desktops and servers, as well as providing consultation services to new clients.

You’ll also complement the existing support team based within the company’s rapidly growing retail division comprising clients in the education sector and Apple Premium Reseller stores.

As an IT Support Engineer your duties will include:
• Providing on-site suport to all client base-servers, PC's and related hardware
• Maintaining hardware and software on sites
• Installing servers, PC's and related hardware
• Diagnosing faults with hardware and networks
• Co-ordinating with in-house support teams regarding bookings and tasks

To be considered for this position, you must have some commercial experience, education to A-Level standard
(or equivalent) and the following:
• experience with Windows Server 2003/2008 and Exchange 2003/2008 administration and configuration
• excellent knowledge of both Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac software and hardware
• knowledge of network set up including routers, switches, cabling and comms cabinets
• an awareness of network principles, including TCP/IP

Additionally, as the IT Support Engineer you’ll need to demonstrate excellent communication and technical skills, coupled with a self motivated approach. You must also be an organised individual and able to work on your own at client sites. It would be beneficial to your application if you hold any recognised manufacturers’ qualifications.

The successful candidate will be based out of our head office in Exeter, primarily serving clients throughout the South West. You will also be involved with installations across the entire sales region for our new Education and Business divisions.
