1st Line Support Engineer - Helpdesk Support (Windows & Macs)
Job Description
We are looking for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join our team and support our clients, both large and small, from all across the our sales region. In addition you will also provide front line support and services to our growing Apple Premium Reseller retail division.
In this role you’ll be responsible for providing a first class telephone and remote access support service to both retail customers and Stormfront’s retail stores staff. You’ll also be required to update clients that have equipment in the workshop for repair.
As a 1st Line Support Engineer your duties will include:
• operating the helpdesk for internal and external requests
• communicating with business users and external customers
• resolving desktop and software issues
• escalating software issues to 2nd and 3rd line support engineers where necessary
• dealing with manufacturers to resolve issues
To be considered for this position, you must have some commercial experience and good knowledge of Apple Mac and Windows-based PCs, software and peripherals. You must also be educated to A level standard (or equivalent).
Additionally, as a 1st Line Support Engineer you will be required to demonstrate excellent communication and technical skills, strong initiative and a self-motivated approach. You should also have the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
