How long will my Mac repair take?

Most repairs are completed in 7 - 10 working days. These are approximate time frames; we aim to complete your repair in the timeliest manner possible. There are some exceptions.

Inspection fee

On Mac repairs we charge a £49 inspection fee. This covers our initial inspection, diagnosis and troubleshooting service, carried out by our Apple certified engineers. The £49 can be then credited towards the cost of your out of warranty repair or can be used within 14 days to go towards the upgrade of a new Mac. The inspection fee is otherwise non-refundable.

Labour charge

A labour fee is applicable to any out of warranty repair, this includes repairs originally classed as in-warranty but where later found to have evidence of accidental or physical damage.

Warranty on repairs

All repairs from Stormfront come with a 90-day warranty on the repair or are covered by the remainder of any existing warranty or guarantee, whichever is longer.

Vintage status

Please be aware that as an Apple Authorized Service Provider, Stormfront cannot carry out any repairs on devices that Apple deem to be vintage status, as this means that Apple has discontinued the hardware service for these devices.
